The Public Safety Office is located at 222 East 3rd Street.  There are currently 20 sworn officers, as well as 3 full time firemen.  All personnel, including volunteer firemen, reserve officers and other staff members, are under the direction of the Director of Public Safety, Keith Wood. 

Maryville provides police/fire services through a “Public Safety Department” as opposed to a “Police Department” and “Fire Department.” This involves a great deal of task sharing, including the cross-training of personnel.
